About this place

Sirogojno is a living museum of Zlatibor architecture — about a dozen relocated and restored 19th-century houses forming an ethno-park. Your house is an authentic log cabin with three bedrooms, ideal for a family or group of friends.

Living area with stone hearth, two bathrooms, kitchen with a wooden-beamed ceiling, terrace overlooking Zlatibor. Breakfast (kajmak, cheese, farm eggs, crepulja-baked bread, plum preserves, mountain tea) is included. Wi-Fi and parking provided.

Things to do nearby

The Sirogojno Open-Air Museum — a dozen traditional houses, watermills, and a log church — is right next door. Stopića cave with its internal waterfall is a 5-minute drive. Gostilje waterfall (one of Serbia's most beautiful) is 15 minutes away.

From Sirogojno it's easy to reach Tornik (Zlatibor ski/gondola), Drvengrad-Mećavnik, and the Šargan-8 railway (each about 30 min away). The Uvac monasteries and the Uvac river meanders with griffon vultures are an hour south — one of Serbia's finest natural sights.

Food & dining

Sirogojno sits at the heart of Zlatibor's food culture — a region famous for komplet kajmak, Užice pršuta, and lamb under the sač. Your breakfast eggs come from a farm 200 metres away, cheese and kajmak from the dairy at the village entrance, bread is baked daily by the hosts in the traditional crepulja clay dome.

Be sure to order lamb under the sač, slow-roasted for 2 hours in the courtyard — book a day ahead. At Restoran Stara Škola at the village entrance you can order a full Zlatibor meze with rakija. In Stopić (4 km) try Tara podvarak and stuffed peppers.

    Mir i tradicija

Predivna brvnara, ognjište koje radi, mir koji se ne može opisati. Posetili smo Stopića pećinu i Gostilje vodopad — sve u krugu od pola sata. Domaćini su pravi.

    Perfect rural escape

Quiet, beautiful, and authentic. The traditional breakfast with kajmak, prebranac and homemade bread was a highlight every morning. Easy drive to Zlatibor centre and Mokra Gora.

    Authentisches Dorferlebnis
