Domaćinstvo Stojković is a 1960s family house with a traditional hearth and contemporary-renovated rooms. Your stay is in a separate cottage next to the main house — two levels, two bedrooms, living area, bathroom.
The house sits on the bank of the Temština river, looking out at Stara Planina's forests. A shared meal with the hosts (if you wish) is an essential experience — at the table the talk turns to village life, the mountain, and the vine. Host Mile speaks a little German. Wi-Fi is available in the main house.

Things to do nearby
Stara Planina has some of Serbia's most beautiful waterfalls — Babin Zub (highest point, 1,758 m), Tupavica, Piljski, and Bigar (one of the most beautiful in Europe). All are accessible on foot from Temska.
Suvodol monastery and Temska's St. George's monastery are within 5 km — small churches with 16th-century frescoes. Pirot, with the Hristić house (ethno-museum) and fortress, is 40 min away. The Babin Zub viewpoint is an hour's drive, with chairlift access in winter.
Food & dining
All food comes from the homestead. Breakfast (included) — homemade cheese, kajmak, farm eggs, clay-oven bread, džezva coffee, rose preserves. For dinner (by arrangement) try lamb stewed for 4 hours with potatoes and spices. Sarma made with their own raštan in winter, stuffed peppers with rice in summer.
The market in Pirot (40 min drive) carries the legendary Pirot kačkavalj — Serbia's most famous hard cheese. Pršuta, peglana kobasica (ironed sausage), and the Pirot kilim are three protected regional specialities. Vukoje wine cellar in Knjaževac (1 hour) is a fine stop.

Mir i domaća kuhinja
Tiho mesto, savršeno za odmor od grada. Domaćini su nas hranili kao rođene. Sarma, prebranac, domaće slatko od šljiva — kao kod bake. Svakako se vraćam na proleće.

Lepo gostoprimstvo
Domaćinstvo je skromno ali iskreno. Hrana sa imanja — sir, kajmak, jagnjetina sa ražnja — neuporediva. Lokacija je idealna za pešačenje po Staroj planini. Babin zub i Tupavica su na sat vremena.

Rustic but real
Very basic but genuinely Serbian. The hosts barely speak English but used Google Translate to chat for an hour over rakija. Plumbing is old, water sometimes lukewarm. Worth it for the experience.

Маленькое семейное хозяйство, где всё по-домашнему. Хозяева угостили домашней ракией и пршутом. Утром сыр и кајмак — невероятно. До водопадов Бабин зуб 30 минут.
