Đerdap + Lepenski Vir – dnevni izlet
About this tour
Danube gorges, neolithic Lepenski Vir and the fortress of Golubac — the best day trip from Belgrade.
Đerdap is Europe's longest gorge and the most powerful stretch of the Danube. Our tour leaves Belgrade at dawn and follows the river east to Golubac Fortress, whose towers rise straight from the water at the entrance to the gorge.
We visit the archaeological complex of Lepenski Vir — a Neolithic settlement 8,500 years old, with its famous fish-shaped sculptures that rewrote textbooks on European prehistory. In the afternoon we cruise the Great Cauldron, the narrowest part of the gorge, where the walls rise more than 300 metres above the water.
Lunch at a traditional Danube-side restaurant is included. Return to Belgrade around 19:00.
